Would much appreciate it if we can get a list of games that are available in CoinOPS 8. Is there such a list? Thanks for all the help in advance.

Worth noting that arcade games use a short name list. This means a small portion of games are difficult to identify from the Games Lookup file but a quick google search will assist with any you are struggling with :)

Is there a similar list in Premium? At a glance I don't see anything.

I thought the question originally was asking for a list of games possible to add in CoinOPS 8 - i.e. the supported list.

Since Premium doesn't rely on a supported list it's not possible to make a similar list - it's basically any game for any supported system.

If you're asking for a list of games in a Premium release the simplest way is to browse the Premium folder in windows and search for all xmv files - they are named with the game they represent, voila - game list.

You & Mav did answer the first question very well, avant.
fnord is not the thread starter.

It can all be nailed down to:
CoinOPS = supported games is the limit
Premium = system support is the limit

CoinOPS restricts the name of the game.
Premium doesn't care for the name, as long as every file that needs to, is named identical.
It's only limit is the Textures.xpr. Which fails to compile at a size of 1.4GB IIRC.

Sorry i didn't mean to derail this thread. When i read the OP's question my interpretation was "is there a list of games that ship with CoinOPS x" as opposed to "what's the full list of games supported". And then i jumped in with "huh, what about Premium?" because:

While waiting for the great leap forward to happen (may this day soon cometh) i'm currently playing with Recalbox using the x86 builds. Last night I was setting up Mame when i suddenly got lazy and figured i could use Premium's current list (which i love) to cull the full Mame romset down to fewer unique titles.

I'll do as you suggested and scrape/match wmv files with rom files to get my list. Thanks for the suggestion!

This one had me thinking for a while because I could have sworn I remember a way to figure it out.

So here it goes at least the Mac version of it (attached) ... if anyone has the PC please post.

I didn't write this and I'm not sure if BP or anyone else in the active community published it, but I remember finding it 2 years ago and just dug it up.

This is the CoinOPS ToolBox App. With it you can do an audit of your CoinOPS directory and get a list of included games.

To Perform an Audit using the CoinOPS Toolbox:
1. Browse to your local CoinOPS Directory (on Mac or PC not the Xbox)

2. Upload the latest supported rom list from CoinOPS revision you want to audit, in corresponding field.

3. Select the Video option and then Hit audit.

4. Once completed you can save your results to either CSV or XLS file... at least that's what I remember being able to do.

5. Rinse and Repeat for any other versions.

I'm not sure if this will work with Premium, haven't tried this on CoinOPS in about 2 years so I hope this is accurate.

Also not sure if there are any newer versions, Team CoinOPS please feel free to chime in with any correction or additional info.

I hope this helps.
