hey folks,

Went to Arcadeclub in UK this weekend with 5 pals.. Over 200 genuine arcade machines, set to free play...

Anyone who loves arcade games living in the UK needs to go !!

http://www.arcadeclub.co.uk/games/

This is a video off youtube...

The team are VERY FRIENDLY and knowledgeable... They have stuff all ages too... £10 for adults and £5 for kids... Now many will think kids will hate this kind of stuff, but the fact is they love it, and not only that if they do get bored they have PS4's Xbox Ones and and PS-VR to keep em happy... They also have a small tuck shop with sweets for the kids, T-Shirts, a Bar and some foods.
So here is a run down in brief...

You enter the warehouse and head up to the 3rd floor... when entering the through the arcadeclub doors you notice the passion they have for arcade club abnd arcade gaming in general. Its dark just like arcades used to be and need to be... I forgot about that sound when you enter the arcade... Amazing... 5 of us went, we all had a great time... They open 11am - 11pm on a saturday, we were they 8 or 9 hours and i still only played a quarter of what I wanted to...

Completed the follwing:

Mortal Kombat - lost count of credits used
Bad Dudes - - lost count of credits used
Double Dragon - 1 credit
Outrun 2 - 1 credit
Starwars Original Trilogy - lost count of credits used

The Bar is great, Its cheap, bottled Beers and ciders for £2, plus some spirits and even canned drinks too :)

The only bad thing for me was the food, microwave Burgers and Hotdogs, but they were cheap so cant really moan too much as they were palatable, just not great...

All in I would say 10/10 - The fact is any who loved arcades will love this place

You should go there and record like 5 minutes worth of audio from various points in the warehouse... upload it to the community, see if someone could clean it, restore it, whatever... there's your background for Hyperspin or whatnot - authentic.. It'd be cool :)

Very, very nice that you guys have this available. I wish I had a place relatively locally for arcades. It would be worth a trip :)

Ah don't mind that cheap, unhealty crap, nobody wants to know where the meat is from.
It's a mere side effect to the arcade, I would get out with aching back & bloody hands!
Cheers from Germany!

You know, we had some ambient arcade music uploaded to the server a while ago by one of the members.... I did have it, but may be deleted now... However someoen may still have it... there were 3 in total :)

The most I've ever had at any of our arcades was a little over 80 games but most of them were cranes and prize machines. Makes me so very happy to see a real arcade again. I want to go so badly. Seriously brought a smile to my face.

There's a place in west London, Acton call the HOG - Heart of Gaming that's meant to be good as well.

If someone had enough time and money then I'm sure the same concept would do well in east London too
